Buying A Car With No Tax/mot

Recommended Posts

muddatrucker

So, I've seen a car I'm interested in, its working fine (apparently) but is a couple of hours away, it has no tax/mot.

Say if I was to buy it, would I have to get it trailered back? is there anyway to pre-empt the tax, before I'm the owner of the vehicle, could I book it in for an MOT in my hometown on the same day and drive it there? (I understand its ok to drive without an MOT if you're on your way to the MOT, but I may be wrong).

This was covered the other day. .

Book it in for an mot in your home town and drive it back. Just get insurance!

Sorry, the search feature doesn't like 'MOT' or accept 'no mot' due to the 2 characters.
