Bolt I.d Quiz/challenge

Recommended Posts

I bought a '89 1.9 gti in Jan that required an engine build. The engine was already removed and was in the boot. Im now left with a puzzle of finding out where the box of bolts provided came from so i'd appreciate any help you guys can give. i'd guess the top right is from the gearbox bellhousing and also i'd guess the small ones to the centre are for the cambelt cover?

4 nuts on the left are for the left engine mounting

The two threaded bits with nuts are for the cam cover

6 top right look like gearbox bolts, some should be allen key heads

The two bits of metal on the top left I think go in the left engine mount

The bar at the top supports the inlet, it can be binned.

THe large bolt on the right looks like the lower engine mount bolt

I think the top 4 bolts, and the middle selection are all related to the head and thermostat housing
