Exhaust Sounds Like Its Blowing

is the manifold joint prone to blowing under acceleration but then fine on tickover? cant see any signs of soot from the joint though ,

maybe its the k&n kit noise but i dont think so ..... cheers for any suggestions

the manifold to downpipe joint is flexi so it could be the gasket is gone between them and under acceleration the gap is opening thus blowing.??

 

is it the manifold end? or could the rear box be buggered inside? and sounding like its blowing?

sounds like its the front i dont mind excessive noise from the back .... it kind of sounds like its chugging only when giving it more gas than i should be ,,,i,ll try to dismantle the joint to see whats happening ,, hoping no bolts shear ,,

Exhaust manifold cracked? Very common, hard to spot as they crack on the underside.

On my 8v it happened there, a right pain in the arse it was, bloody bolt just wouldn't undo, rounded off just that one as well..... not very confident with the grinder then so a mate done it... now though i'd have the whole apart!!
