screws into the top of the header tank:

if i short the wires out the coolant light comes on on the dashboard on key position 2, if i plug them in normally they dont - am i right in thinking the sensors buggered?

and can i take it apart and fix it? :wub::D

they get scum in them over ime. a good flush out is what you do

I'd just swap it for a working one :wub: Or keep an eye on your levels & remove the bulb

ooh i just flushed it under the sink and loads of brown bits came out :o:lol:

 

will dry it off and try it again tomorrow - otherwise will find a new one thankyou :)

Been having trouble with my coolant level sensor in my Xs, took it out the other day and you can actually take it apart and clean inside.

 

There's a cap on the bottom of it, I just knocked it off with a screwdriver, cleaned inside (there's just a little polystyrene type float in there) then superglued it back on. But I don't think it fixed it so I ordered a new one from Peugeot the other day, £32 inc. vat! :lol:
