Running Problems 205 Gti 8v With Jetronic?

Recommended Posts

Tom Fenton

So I have yesterday purchased a Blue Point "CHECKIT" tool suitable for the LE Jetronic systems as fitted to 205 GTI 8v up to about 1991.

This plugs in between the engine loom and the ECU itself, and has various LEDs that light up to show the status of the management system.

It also has a special relay with switch that goes in place of the fuel pump relay to allow testing with the engine not running.

Including, engine cranking signal from dizzy, coolant cold or hot signal, output to coil and injectors.

As a special bonus also indicates the airflow signal from the airflow meter as a row of sequential LED's.

Basically rather than guesswork a way to properly diagnose your running issues!

Now seeing as I don't own an 8v 205 this isn't an awful lot of use to me, but I thought it will certainly be of use to members on here.

So I am offering it out for hire at a nominal fee of £15 a week, the first £5 of this covers the cost of me posting it to you, so I'm only making £10 to make it worth my while. Depending on who you are/how established a forum user you are I may ask for a deposit on this to ensure I get it back.
