[car_upgrade] French 1.9 Project

Recommended Posts

haro09

I modified my project, I have found a calculator zx 1.9i, an ignition coil of 306 with bracket, idle valve on a Xantia, 250cc injectors, a ignition leads, sensors ...

photo0492k.jpg

So after that the first change was the deletion of the flowmeter

photo0497.jpg

then replacing the case of water to have the support coil ignition, and installation of new ignition leads

photo0496.jpg

photo0493j.jpg

i wanted to install the valve bent just below the plenum but it touched the oil filter, then j have the valve mounted right under the starter (c is more practical for electrical wiring)

here are some diagrams of electrical mp3.1

I have MP3.1 on my 205, and it does not support the Xantia idle valve, it uses the simple SAD air valve.

Also it will need mapping to use the 250cc injectors, which I doubt you will need at all over the 186cc XU9Ja / J4 injectors as they are capable for 180 bhp+.

hi, you use an zx 1.9i ecu on your 205?! the mp3.1 support the idle valve if you plugged it on the pin 33 and 34 of the ecu

i have an 106 xsi with mp3.1 and have an idle valve on this (and not a simple SAD air valve)

photo0485.jpg

I'll go to a professional to remapping the ecu, I'll replace the potentiometer wealth with an lambda sensor (it's possible)

look here http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/5687/dsc05787d.jpg

requires changing the masses that determine the ecu version (pin 10 and 27 of the ecu)

I'll make my own electrical wiring (it's so easy for me , it's my job)

yes I do use the ZX volcane ecu on my 205

I did not know that yo could simply use the different pins, very interesting! especially about the Lambda.

any modifications required to run a Lambda sensor apart from wiring?

not sure what you mean by;

requires changing the masses that determine the ecu version (pin 10 and 27 of the ecu)

is that to tell the ecu to use Lambda not the Potentiometer or the idle valve?

I love the car.

The bonnet vents for the air filter are great and I love the rocker cover.

Are you using the rocker cover filler to fill the engine with oil, any issues with that?

mad. :D

hi, thanks

look on xsara 1.8i (or xantia, zx, 306 1.8i 8v), filling of oil is on the rocker cover and no issues ;)

hi, I found new GTX badges from spain to put on my 205

photo0810n.jpg

I have also prepared a new gearbox with an cwp 19/79, first gear 11/38, second gear 23/43, third 25/34, fourth gear 29/31, fifth gear 37/32 and QUAIFE ATB in dif

Interesting project, I also run the MP3.1 on my car with a remapped ZX ecu but have removed the SAD (simply doesn't need it imo) & I'm going to discuss removing the cold start enrichment that goes with it when I take my car for a remap in the next few months.

NickR (old forum hand) tried wiring in the icv on his car when we began the M3.1 conversion using the ecu from a 605 2.0l iirc but it never got finished & I found mine works fine without any changes to the idle control.

I'm interested in the lambda idea though instead of the co mix pot, I'll do some more looking into this.

Graham.

Wow, very interesting build and very nice work too!

I like the idea of keeping the original 8v, but upgrading / modernising everything around it.

thanks, it's also possible to mount the 106 xsi ecu, whe must be able to mount all MP3.1 ecus (with remap)

I think the mp3.1 is the best compromise for the 205 gti, no distributor of ignition, no flow meter, can remap on Dyno, and not very expensive

I'll make a custom wirring loom and I would also like to take this opportunity to assemble a kit flex fuel

bump....

I tried the installation following this thread

added a wire to pin 33 and 34.

but I failed to activate the ICV.

when I test the ecu's pin, no signal which come out from that pins.

what happen?are not all Mp3.1 support icv?

my ecu come from peugeot 1995 405 SRi XU9J2. serial number is 0 261 200 213.

do I need to remapped it before?or the original has output signal?

does multimeter helps to detect the signal?how?

really appriciated for some help........
