Gti6 Questions?

Hi folks im in the middle of carrying out this conversion on my 205 and im wondering what the plastic box is that bolts underneath the inlet manifold and has a plastic pipe poking out the side of it towards the battery side??

It's a resonance box/chamber.

 

Please do some searching/reading in the other GTI6 related threads as it's all in there.

 

Some remove it (blocking the hole in the manifold with a milk bottle cap or similar) and some leave it. It won't change your life, but some vouch for better sound or even a different delivery of torque, because it effects the tuning of the inlet tract.

 

Searching and reading is your friend though.

Ive been searching like a maniac for info on it but couldnt see anything lol ive also been struggling with a map sensor for the inlet which i thought was called an inlet temp sensor for some reason but now i know the name of the sensor i need to buy! ive saved a lot of photos off the threads which will help a lot with what im needing cheers for the info

i tried using said milk bottle cap on mine but when the engine misfired back out the inlet it blew it out . i was scratching my head for ages as to why the car was revving so high on idle. i put the resonance chanber back after that
