Beam Help Needed

Recommended Posts

jeeves

Ok so here is the problem i am completely stumped by it!!

I noticed at the last rally that i can fit two fingers between the rear tyre and the body at one side but three at the other.

I hit the beam hard last year so i took the beam out, new pins and arms built it all back up today and its still further back at one side.

The wheel is 10 mm back at one side but they track straight etc what could cause this?

Jeremy Beadle used to have this problem on his 205.

Its the original mounts at the front with the nylon bushes and solid group a ones at the back. Dont think it can be that! Do you think its possible that the actual tube itself is bent??

it is very possible. although the beam tube looks rigid enough even with the mounting points, i have experienced one had actually twisted :)

I recon that must be what it is then!! I would have thought that it would be one of the last parts to bend but i guess not. Will investigate tonight and get back with the reports
