Driving Light Wiring

Recommended Posts

grandos

Just trying to fit some driving lights to my 205 at long last, plugged them in and typically they don't work, I have checked and I'm not getting the 12V feed. I have checked the earth both sides and they're good.

I have check the supply coming out of connector 'B' in the fuse board (from haynes) and that is good, it mentions the relay being number 35 (whatever that means).

The question is where is the relay located for the driving lights?

My 205 is a phase 1 1.6GTI.

Ben

have you tried cleaning or replacing the yellow connectors behind the headlights these are usually knackered by now and were the cause of driving lamps not working on both my cars

Yeah, cleaned all the connectors up, as before this the grime built up was disturbing as the lights haven't been fitted for years.

If it is like my phase 1.5 then the relay is mounted on the rear scuttle near the coil.
