Cam Seal

Recommended Posts

Hi I am going to have a go at changing the cam seal as this is where I appear to have a hefty oil leak which is annoying, are there any top tips as to the best wat to change this?

Thanks

Paul

Time the engine up, remove cambelt, remove cam pulley, screw a deep threadded screw into the side of the seal and lever it out with pliers, you will probably need a few screws around the seal and work the seal out by levering each one a bit at a time. Then oil the new seal, slide it over the end of the cam then tap it in with a socket. Then put it all back together.
