Rubber Black Stuff

Very technical I know but what is the rubberised black sealent type stuff that everyone seems to use to glue stuff on and water seal things? I want to make sure when I rebulid my car that there are no leaks as that has been the root to so many problems but i want to use the best stuff for the job, any suggestions??

Try ebay or maybe even halfords failing them maybe a local paint shop {car paint}

I use RTV sealant, get it from a local engineering firm. Like it because it doesnt damage paintwork (police use it to stick lights on their cars so they dont screw through the body.
