Pull Type Clutch To 205

Recommended Posts

Hi again fello puggers!

Am figuring out with clutch cable to use.

Car had a BE3 box in originally.

All archive posts mention modding either BE1 or 3 cables but nothing specific.

Have done a quick cobble up with the old 306 cable with the intention of then buying a newy.

Had to space out cable mount at the bulkhead and mod the end that hooks over the pedal.

Wouldnt say its ideal as dont like using a cable with a potentially troublesome auto adjuster on it.

Just cant see a way of using 1 or 3 cables with the pull clutch bracket arrangement or am i missing somit? <_<

The BE1 cable is somewhat longer and can be used, but seeing yours is prob a RHD car I'd say the normal BE3 cable could be used as well. It will just operate differently. Instead of pulling the cable backwards it will now push the cable cover (sp?) forward, thus engaging the clutch.
