Remoal Of Phase 1 Dash

Recommended Posts

richardjw

Guys been trying for a weekend now, two end bolts are out, clocks are out, heater matrix is still in.....dash still not coming out.

Any ideas as to where the final bolts are, Haynes is not helping much....

Thank you

have you got the ones behind the windcreen cowel?

remove the wipers and the plastic grill thingy and there are two/three 1mm nuts you need to remove before the dash will come out.

have you removed the intrument cluster? and all other bits of trim etc. like the heater control panel.

you know why it won't budge don't you?

It's a phase 1 and they should be kept complete so its hanging on for dear life...

what you doing, swapping over to a later dash? Shame if you are as there are very few phase 1's left now.

Keeping it very much Phase 1, just flocking it, and painting interior ready for cage prep. I like the Phase 1 'retro' look.

Bolts located, dash 'fell out'.

Thank you Pete, I owe you a large cold one!
