Dkz (xu9jaz) Vs Ddz (xu9m)

Hi

 

The situation goes like this... i had an engine brake down in my 8v 205, so i took a DDZ (xu9m) engine from 405, and put it in my 205, using my intake and my ecu practicly making it a dkz ( xu9jaz) engine. I can't tell for sure but i got a feeling that it isn't fast enough as it should be.

 

Now, could someone tell me what is the differnece between these two engines ( just the block and the head, cause everything else is from xu9jaz)

 

i thougt that aprox 10HP would be gained on ddz by taking out the monopoint system and putting the original dkz with the whole intake and ECU. But now i'm not that sure anymore.

i used a camsaft from ddz ... ( i didn't open the engine at all just put my old dkz intake and fitted it in with my old wiring and ecu... ) ... if camshaft is the only differnece then it would be great since i planing to put in kent cams camshaft...

It's a 109 hp engine this DDZ one , and , me thinks that it has fully flat top pistons (check trough the spark plug hole with an flashlight - bring one piston near TDC and take a look @ piston crown .. you'll see if it's dished or flat ..) if they're flat , could bolt DKZ dead on top and you'll have some odd 11/12 CR ... but then you'll need to do something with the ignition timing so either fit mappable system or recurved dizzy ..

 

Pretty sure that the difference is in the head i.e camshaft , combustion chambers (and valve size perhaps ..) .. and inside the block i.e pistons ..

I think the XU9J1/AZ 105 bhp 1.9 engine was based on this 405 engine and that is where the small valves come from. Not 100% sure though

gledao sam katalog dijelova s frendom i klipovi bi trebali bit isti kao i ventili... jedina je nepoznanica jos ostala bregasta cije mjere nemogu nigdje nac

 

 

i took a look in the spare parts catalouge with a frend that has got spare parts store. The pistons and the valves acording to the catalouge should be the same only thing we couldn't find is the informations about the camshaft

the one that i have is xu9m , and acording to the catalogue it's pretty similar to xu9jaz (dkz) but i can't find all the informations about it
