Pug 205 1.9 Gti Ignition Barrel

I have a question, I know it might seem like a stupid question but i'm not that technical when it comes to cars and learning as i go. So i have my pug 205 gti 1.6. But it has a faulty passenger door which can not be opened, unless from the inside. The key doesnt go in so i guess the barrel is damaged. So i'm going to replace the whole lot.

 

So my question is, i have been offered a 205 gti 1.9, and i need to know if the ignition barrel will work in mine ?

 

The car is a 1989 F reg pug 205 1.6 gti I'm not sure what car the barrel set comes from other than it's a 1.9

afaik they are all the same, should work fine

I thought so but didnt want to buy something just to find that the ignition barrel wasnt the right connection or something else.
