Removing Steering Arms

Recommended Posts

Cameron

I'm sure this has probably been covered before, but I can't find anything useful so here's a thread with a nice clear title for future searchers!

How do you remove the nearside TCA from a PAS rack?

I've managed to remove the offside easily enough, but the nearside has a small rubber gaitor covering it that seems to be bonded to the piston mount collar. Does anyone know how to remove this without destroying the rubber gaitor?

Well, I tried to peel the boot back over the ball joint and the bloody thing just split so I cut it off. :o

The good news is they're available from Peugeot so I'll be getting one of those along with a new set of gaiters.

Anyway the answer is don't waste your time, cut the stupid boot off and remove the steering arm as you would on the other side.
