1.9 Rear Free Wheel Hub

Recommended Posts

GilesM

How do I remove the rear free wheel hub from the rear arm? I've got everything off apart from the caliper bracket and free wheel hub but can't seem to find a way to remove these. I can't access the caliper bracket socket screws without removing the hub but this doesn't want to move.

taken the 32mm nut off?

Any suggestions how as they both seem to be seized. Is there any particular tool to use?

yeah, 32mm socket and a big bar, or an impact gun.

get the wheel back on, lower the car. chock the wheels to stop it rolling and use a long bar to get the hub nut off.

I've got the nut off but the hub doesn't want to separate from the trailing arm cos the washer and bearing seem to be blocking it from coming away from the bolt connected to the trailing arm.

Any suggestions

either knock it off with a hammer and drift of use a puller.
