Quotes For Parts On D6c

hi all,

First of all i've just stripped my mi eng that i bought years ago and with not knowing anything but it looked well no leak's nice and clean and also turned over freely, and was a bargain, i've also put a bit of oil down the plugs every year.

I've now got the car to put it in and after joining a few weeks ago have read most night's through some interesting post's with good ideas and tip's, especially the big power conversions and realising just how tuneable the 16v's are, so now i've a stripped the eng and it is as good inside as the out apart for valves a bit pitted which to be expected, block heights good and square after some satisfying cleaning, but and it's a big but it's time for the pricing of the parts, and found they are a dear old do.

Now i don't want to skimp and be pulling her apart in a year because of a few quid i've saved, so is £195 + vat good value for a gen full gasket set, part no 0197j3 ? also if anyone has bought one, what dose it consist of or if it's easier what gasket's are missing ? also if you have any other tip's of cost cutting please share.

Thats allot, I always use Payen Gaskets or sets which most use OE parts anyway just not in a Pug box

second that. After all the gaskets are not made by peugeot anyway, so you can just get a set of some reputable make and continue your build.

Payen FTW.

No one I know in the motortrade has anything but good things to say about them. The only gaskets I will use on the pug :)

The headset is apporx £40 (no HG included IIRC, but includes valve stem oil seals any everything else) I dont know how much the conversion set is as of yet.
