You need to use a gearbox from the v6 engine, some v6's did come with 6 speed boxes if you really want 6 gears.

I'm afraid the only two options you have of manual boxes are an ML5 or ML6 gearbox, specifically from a V6 engine only.

one is 5 speed and more common, the other 6 speed and not so common :)

you'll find the ML5 in Xantia's, C5's, 406's 605's 607's, possibly XM's and 407's, the ML6 was only found in the 407 I believe, I doubt you'd find a manual C6 so get one from!

not sure on power levels, but its torque that hurts a gearbox not power, and these cope quite well with the 2.2 HDI's torque levels.

The ML5 is 5 speed, the ML6 is 6 speed, boxes from both D8 and D9 v6 engines will fit, they are fairly bulletproof, especially compared to BE boxes, they weigh a ton!

As said bar the ML on the Pug's nothing else on a normal H set up, They stand upto allot but I don;t think hardly anyone has gone that far in the power stakes yet but at a guess should see a good 300bhp

Don;t forget the Renault option/s but I have no idea about there's
