Can Anyone Spare Me Some Good Luck?

helloo again.

Some more progess. Am aiming to get it finished in a couple of weeks now, but will see how long messing with getting all the electrics working takes etc.

Managed to get the engine in after some "adjustment of the front crossmember" Turns out when people say "yeahhh, that engine will fit fine mate" what they actually mean is "well, i guess it should fit, but I really have no clue". Still, its in now, and Im happy the crankshaft pulley has enough room.

Not great pics, but they show the chunk taken out of the cross member, which was replaced with a pretty chunky box section.

Got the bumpers on, and for a hundred and thirty quids worth of chromework I think they look really really good :(

Also, my girlfriend's mum has finished retrimming the seats in stunning leather. We bought it from a place at brooklands, real top quality stuff, has been interesting to see a couple of hides get turned into two seats for us :)

Have also bought a thermostatically controlled mocal sandwich plate and oil cooler, 1500midges are notorious for running their oil very hot, so hopefully this should solve this problem.

Red carpets waiting to go in, should look good :D

Motivation is helped by the fact I co own it with my girlfriend, so with her having a share in it, and doing a good deal of the work with me its much easier to stay motivated. We both work on it in the evenings together, she repaired all the wiring loom, did all the filling pretty much on her own etc. I strongly recommend getting a girlfriend with an active interest in cars, and one who is prepared to get dirty helping
