Before I Buy A Part....

I have been having bother with my heater fan on my 205.

 

I got the car (AC model) and the fan was running constantly when ignition is on and I cant controll it by the dial at all.

 

I thought that the controll knob was at fault, so I pulled it to bits, all seemed ok. I then pulled the PCB out and found the multi plug was not connected.

 

After connecting it up, the fan stops, but it killed my battery off in a night.

 

So I see why it was dissconnected, but I want to know what to do to fix it, I was told after a bit of searching that the resistor pack that is attached to the fan unit can give fault so I removed it and it is dirty and looks old.

 

Do you think that this is what can be giving fault?
