Removing Slam Panel

hi, i've removed my slam panel and was thinking would it have any effect on strength at the front end??

I'd have thought the main problem would be your bonnet flying into your windscreen! :rolleyes:

 

unless you have bonnet pins I suppose?

what's stopping your rad from flapping about and what does your grille bolt+ slot into?

i have a alley rad which doesnt use the slam pannel and i have made some brackets to bolt the grill too :(

if the ally rad is bolted wither side then that will offer you some structural rigidity across the front. I'm guessing you have a strut brace too anyway. I would hazard a guess to say that anything in front of the engine mounts is non essential (hmm... clam shell one piece fibreglass front end for a 205 like they did for Minis)
