Metal Restorer

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I've been using B&Q's metal restorer for a couple of days on some parts. I have also done a standard manifold that was completely covered in rust. I wire brushed it then left in a bath of solution, washed it and then bathed in new solution. It came out really well for the price of the liquid, £7 for 5 litres. th_SDC10393.jpg

I have some remains of a white compound of some sort, but I have sprayed the whole part in oil to stop it rusting again before I fit it in a week or two.

Cool, I like shizzle like this.

Seems simular to POR15 'Metal ready' but a lot cheaper! Metal ready does leave a zinc coating on it after though.

In short... will buy :D

I was going to get some Deox C but as I was in B&Q I thought I would try it. Its not too bad if your not in a rush.

Sounds good, can you reuse the liquid after you've had bits soaking in it?
