How Much Value Has My Car Lost

Recommended Posts

Joshy

All of this non sunroof business has worried me in the past, but at the end of the day I cannot see why it would be a disadvantage in a road car (as long as it doesn't leak!)

Aftermarket slide back sunroof FTW

The slide ones are factory fitted, its the pop up ones that are aftermarket.

There are some after market slide back sunroofs surgie.

They have shorter rails and are narrower.

Its not the leaking and the awkwardness that gets me, Its the fact that the 205s look soo much better without them. So from this point of view, yes I think possibly having an aftermarket sunroof might well affect the value of the car.

The factory slide ones are nice on the right day though :D

Tbh in this day and age, i think we should all be more worried about general shell condition and rust than sunroofs!

True, but non sunroof shell IMHO will always be more desireable.

Never heard of someone holding out to buy a 205 with a sunroof, but plenty who will refuse sunroof equipped cars. I know I wouldn't have another with a sunroof.

My old 1.9 had a after-market fitted sliding sunroof. It was not a vacuum one, i think it was a cable operated one, and it kept slightly opening at high speed. I have a steel 1.9 which has a factory vacuum sliding sunroof. The rails go further back about 2" compared to the aftermarket one.

I don't see the problem with a sunroof if it doesn't leak.
