Am I Right To Think Its Bottom Arm

My pug 205 gti has developed a slight nock from passinger side when i go over bumps,. I checked wheel bearing NO play so am i right in thinking its the bottom arm... thanks....

It could be your:

 

Bottom arm balljoint/bushes

Trackrod end

Antiroll bar droplink

Knackered top mount rubbers/bearings

Loose subframe

Ovalled hub

 

Could be any of the above, get underneath and start having a play.

Thanks for quick reply ....i checked most yesterday hub was fine my assumption was bottom arm balljoint

Did you take the hub off the balljoint? If you can spin the balljoint with your fingers it's f*cked.

Is the gaitor still in one piece and the grease still present?

No i didnt go that for i just checked for play on hub,& bottom arm

I find that its most likely to be a drop link when I have any sound that knocks over bumps. Not saying its always the case but has been the thing to go most often on my cars.
