Anyone has chapter 7-8 from Haynes Manual on .pdf ? I don't have that and it seems to be some good information there about gearbox..

... though , not much use of this ones either suppose you're after a complete gearbox layout ? therefore it'll have to be old (white front page) 205 Haynes book ..

I dont think its 100% atm. may get you on the right track.

 

.. don't think so , it'll be the same 205 pdf book as the one on the "205gti" website and other pdf book download sources .. so from the red book without transmission chapters (even if they're included inside they'll be useless i.e. short and without complete gearbox layout/rebuild description)

In mine Ch. 7 is 'Driveshafts', Ch 6 is 'Transmission, Pages 119 -155, very in depth with loads of pictures, I can scan it for you but it's going to take me a while.

How many teeth have elements marked on the picture as number 5 and number 16. In 1.6 GTI and in Mi16 ?

That scan shows a BH3 gearbox not a BE3.... The BH3 is the old 'in the sump' box used by the pre-TU engines.

I got my Haynes manual from Amazon for 1p plus £2.75 postage from trader called Julies Bookshop. Condition was as new.
