Standard Exhaust System

Hi all, I am in the process of getting a standard system together to put back on my 1.6 gti. I have a PG156T centre section that is in good condition, but according to Buypartsby is for a 1.6 auto. Would I have to get the matching back box (PG197H) or would the PG210M fit? I have just bought the centre section as it was cheap and from a 1.6 cti. Any ideas?

Just had a look on the buy parts by site, your car should have the later two piece system but is the one you've bought this one?

 

It has the olive end fitting &uses the same size clamp so the correct GTI backbox should fit without any problems imo.

 

I know my mums cat equipped 205 auto has a GTI backbox on.

The one I bought was second hand, the same type as the one in your link. I got it with a standard manifold. Even though the two systems have olive fittings, is there a difference between the two centre pieces apart from the price? Or is the auto system quieter than the gti system?
