Driving Lamps Not Working

are they supposed to work with the high beam are they just spliced into the high beam circuit somewhere ,will they have there own fuse mine have a lot of lines down the lenses and not very clear does this mean theyre fog lights ,,also my reversing lights not working [ bulbs and contacts all fine on both} ,,, thanks for any suggestions

It looks as though they are fed from their own relay which is energised by the main beam circuit. And yes, they are driving lights.

They are driving lamps, only come one with full beam.

 

Reasons for them not working can be as simple as a blown fuse but the yellow plug for each one near the headlamps can also become corroded & stop them from working.

 

They should have their own seperate fuse #4 15A;

Fuses (1991 models onward);

 

1; Reversing lights, tachometer, fuel gauge, warning lights (low battery charge,

coolant temperature, oil pressure, low coolant level, brake system, choke). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 10A

2; Direction indicators, gauges (fuel, oil temperature, coolant temperature, oil pressure),

heater blower motor, warning lights (low battery charge, coolant temperature, oil pressure,

low coolant level, brake system, choke, ABS) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 25A

3; Map reading light, stop-lights, windscreen and tailgate wash/wipe, tachometer, radio, glovebox light, heated rear window . . . . . . . . . 25A

4; Driving lights . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 15A

For the reversing lights, if the fuse is Ok, remove the plug from the gearbox (bear the clutch arm) & bridge the connector pins to seeifit comes on. They only work with the ignition on the second click iirc though.
