Bonnet Lining/sound Proofing Removal?

Recommended Posts

dino20vt

I've got a spare bonnet that's dented but the linings ok whereas the lining on my straight bonnet has seen better days, how do I remove those rivet looking things? (sorry for the vague description of the rivets, I'm not with the car at the minute)

Drill the heads off then re-rivet it onto the new bonnet.

So are they just your average rivet with a hole in the middle?

If so, refitting is just a case of re-riveting, no special clips from the dealer required?

Like the other I drilled the rivits off, but my mate at peugeot suggested some 406 (I think) bonnet carpet clips, Part no 6995 56 which have done the job nicely
