Quick One- 1.1 & 1.4 Rear Drums/shoes, Same Or Different?

Are the drums and shoes from a 1.4 xr the same as the ones that are on a 1.1xl??

Possibly not but without stripping each set down to check its impossible to say accurately.

 

Some of the base models have 30mm wide shoes & drums while others have 40mm wide ones but both Girling brakes.

i've got a full set up from a 1.4xr so if they dont interchange will they replace the full rear brake set up?

Looking on service box if they aren't the same you need to change the back plate as well but then the drum & shoes etc will swap straight across afterwards.

 

The wheel cylinder is the same but you can't swap the backplate without braking the line so you might have to replace the brake line from the flexi around the beam as well.
