Hi everyone, this is my first post

 

a while back i bought a '93 1.9 gti, i believe its gots a cat, and the id plate on the block says DKZ, just looking for confirmation has this 205 got the 120hp xu9jaz engine??

 

Also i have aquired a 1.6 gti engine with a B6D id plate, am i correct in thinking it has the same head as the D6B 128hp 1.9 engine as i have been offered a 1.9 DFZ block and i heard these 2 make a pretty good couple.

 

Thanks in advance for any help, still getting used to these french cars and still struggling to get my head around how many variations there r out there

Heads are the same on B6D and D6B. DKZ is the low comp bottom end from later cat equipped 1.9 with Motronic management, correct for your '93 1.9.

 

The DFZ appears in CTi s, Gentrys and continental 1.9 rallyes.

Is the head off the b6d better than the dkz? and can i run this head on the dkz block?? i only ask cause it says the motronics system uses a tdc sensor for the ecu

 

also the gearbox on the 1.6 is marked with xu30 and 14ds i cant find anywhere on the box wher it says be3 or be5

 

sorry if these r silly queries, but im still learning

 

also is there any physical marking on the b6d head to confirm it is from the same block?
