Has Anyone Had Their Injectors Cleaned?

If so have you noticed a difference? I think it about £30 to have four done.

Yeah :P

Nice smooth idle, more responsive, smoother accelaration :excl:

Not a massive diffrence to be felt, but if your engine/ign system etc is in good condition you will feel an all round improvement :)

Someone off here does it too, madprofessor IIRC

I've had mine done recently and well worth it, cost around £8 and injector.

Had mine done by a chap on the advertising on the 'bay - can't fault the work, and new seals all 'round as part of the deal.

£50 well spent, IMO; as above, smoother idle, sharper response . . . . quite pleased with the result.

Maybe my imaginings, but marginally better economy, too . . . just maybe !

Hmm, I'm the only one having a bad experience with cleaned injectors then?

Sent mine off to an aptly named website late last year. They came back promptly, so couldn't fault the turnaround time. For reasons beyond my control, the injectors sat in my house for about 3 weeks before being fitted. I come to fit them and 1 is stuck closed and needs a tap with a hammer to make it work again. Now, whenever I start the engine from cold, it'll fire on 2 cylinders, 3, then 4 but opening the throttle just kills the engine. After about 10 seconds the injectors clear and work ok.

Now this was odd I thought, the Emerald says it's firing the injectors, but the lambda is telling me the exhaust mixture is off the scale weak. The only answer could be the injectors are not working. So I remove them and low and behold, on a cold start it seems the injectors don't work straight off and take a good 10 seconds of being pulsed to start flowing properly!

Once the engine is warmed up it's fine, in fact better than before. As others have said, a better idle and looking at my lambda readout the tickover lambda is much more stable.

So the moral of the story is, if you are going to have your injectors cleaned, make sure you use them as soon as they are sent back. Sitting in a drawer after being cleaned obviously does them no good at all! :D

Yep thats the place. To be honest though I didn't have a choice as the engine was in bits when the injectors returned.

Hopefully they'll sort themselves out as they get used more.

Search for Bosch service Centres in your area, lot of these places do them, but check prices before taking them B)

Just over £50 for a set of 4 from this place including special delivery back to you:

But there is a user on here that does them cheaper
