Starting Difficulties

Hi guys

I have taken my engine out to check over and i have now put it back in but it wont start!

It just contantly cranks over but doesnt even sound like its going to fire. There is a spark from all sparkplugs, i have fuel pressure but the injectors will not open. I had a similar problem before and it was the wires incorectly on the coil. It is a phase 1 wiring loom where the coil sits on the wing

Does anyone have any ideas??

Sounds like the fuel pump relay, i think on a phase1 car its located in the engine bay, sure someone will confirm this. If its a phase1.5 still with a wing mounted coil, then the tachymetric relay will be the culrprit which is a black relay located next to the ecu under the drivers side dash.

Yes :) on a Ph1 car the fuel pump relay is in the engine bay , underneath the battery inside black plastic box ..

I take it that is the tachometric relay? I did some more tests last night and i have 12v at that relay and i have about 10v at the injectors when i am cranking it over. The inectors are not firing out fuel tho when i do this just the usual primes. It must be something fairly simple i hope as the engine was running 3 weeks ago!
