Rear Stub Axles

in need of help and search didnt turn anything up

 

trying to swap my rear beam,it apears that **** on ebay advertised a 1.6 beam as a 1.9 beam,either way,i have it now and its a good beam,is it possible to swap the stub axles for the 1.9 ones so i can get the disks on????

 

any help would be great

Yes, undo hub nuts and knock out axles. Put in the longer 1.9 axles and fit 1.9 hubs.

so its as simple as bashing them out??

Pretty much, although personally I'd try to use a puller or large copper/rubber mallet to get them out to avoid damaging the end of it.

 

Put the hub nut back on too, let that take the bashing.

 

I would soak them in plug gas now too, and maybe try hot and cold to try and break the rust that's undoubtably stuck them in.
