Could be clogged idle jet  remove it out and clean it with some carb cleaner .. (wheh you remove the jet put it in your mouth and try to blow trough .. so you'll see if its blocked ..)

I tried what you said Damir but still no good! I've also noticed it's starting to smoke a little, so I've decided to scrap both of my 205 automatics and concentrate on my Rallye.

Many thanks for your help.

The Weber 36tlc carb is notorious for this. The automatic choke is even worse. IIRC it was only made for this engine, so is quite difficult to obtain, but there are service kits still available.

Thanks for that Johno. I know what you mean about the automatic one choke, as one of my Autos has that on it, what a nightmare eh!

As I said in my previous post, I think it's time for me to scrap them both, which is such a shame, because the 5 door one is really quite nice and the other is a 3 door non sunroof model, but the paintwork has really gone bad.

I must concentrate on getting my Rallye done, as there is lots to do as yet. The main job is a full engine rebuild, then the seats need repairing, ( nothing new there eh! ). I'm also trying to locate a front valance with the grills in, but they're like rocking horse poo.

Does anyone know how many of these Yellow Rallyes are actually lsft?

Thanks for your help guys

Regards

Steve.
