You have done well to get it out let alone lose it, they are usually seized in solid or the head chewed up!

Its very much needed. Id buy a whole TB off ebay or on here cheap. Should be under a tenner... Or have one fall into your pocket if your lucky enough to find a 205 in a scrappy near you. :o

yeh thats what i was gonna try do managed to do a bodge job with another screw and there is just about over 1mm sticking out underneath so its working to an extent B) anyway i cleaned all throttle bodie up hoping it would solve the starting issue but still dodgy starting once it did though was low on tick over so adjusted idle screw and this was responding much better managed to get it just under 1000rpm perfect B) dont know if its solved the kangarooing i get though haven't took it for a drive will see i dont think so.

next to change spark plugs and ht leads

That screw is important for the correct setting up of what your trying to achive, It has a simular job to the air mixture screw that you have been twiddling.

WHat you do its wind it right back so its not stopping anything. Then you wind it in so its barely touching, then you wind it in a further 4 complete turns. This sets the butterfly inside the TB so it has a tiny (super tiny & very precise) gap allowing a small amount of air past for idle and lift off purposes.

After this is set you then adjust the TPS + air and fuel mixtures.

Its quite important to get the above done and right for how you car will idle. Suprising for an insignificant little screw isnt it

Haynes manual is a must really before you play with any of these, IIRC a member called M@tt has one in his sig, do a member search for him :)
