RHULPUG 0 Posted March 9, 2010 I'm trying to remove the battery tray on my 205 to give it a tidy up. Is it a case of unbolt and out it comes or is the gearbox mount in the way underneath?
DrSarty 90 1 Cars Posted March 9, 2010 Support the gearbox from underneath, then remove the large nut on the gearbox stud. Remove the 2 horizontal (hidden) bolts under the tray going into the chassis leg then the top 2 vertical bolts. Lift up tray. Lowering the gearbox a little may help, or even undoing the 2 bolts holding the rubber bush in place.
Rock Lobster 28 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) If my memory serves me correctly, its held on by four bolts, two on top and two underneath. But you will have to remove the large nut securing the gearbox to the mount I think, this will leave the gearbox unsupported though! beaten to it! again!
