whats changing the cam like on these? on a mini its in the block so very different lol

 

is it cam cap bearings holding it in? or do you slide them in and out the side of the head?

 

do you need to re shim the buckets? or will the new one just plonk on?

Yep!

No, see above. On the TU 8v engines this is the case though.

Yep 'fraid so! (Well saying that, you need to check the clearances with the new cam at least)

Have a skim through the engine section in the 205 Haynes manual (I think M@tt has one in his sig) and it'll tell you the basics.

i know i fail i'm a nooob lol, had a 205 xs before but didn't really touch it lol

 

i've played with mini's a lot and vw's and rovers but not many fench cars its about time i started i think

 

i would look for his sig but it'll be a pdf and for some reason my laptop won't let pdf readers work :s
