Swapping Diff ?

Since I have never done it before and don't want to learn this time on my mistake.

 

How difficult is it to change diff on BE3 box. diff from 205 to 306 box.

 

Any special tools? or tips?

very easy, no special tools apart from a torque wrench, just your normal sockets.

 

take the diff casing off, out drops the diff, swap the crown-wheel, preferably fit new bearings, apply sealant to diff cover and refit.

Depends if the 306 box has a shim in it, The later ones do but around 97 & 98 you should be OK, but it's not Gospel
