Hi, I want to ask if I change the serial copper gasket for thickness of 0.5 mm should be perfectly comparable block and cylinder liners, or can normally confused? Thank you so much TomGTI

You haven't said what engine (as an XU10 is an iron block) so I'm guessing you mean an alloy block 1.6 or 1.9 GTI engine (XU5J/JA or XU9JA even low comp).

I don't recommend this Tom unless the liners in your block are all even and giving the correct 0.003" protrusion. You need this to bite into the copper gasket. If they don't then it'll blow pretty quickly.

I'm not really sure they're worth the risk.

Do a search for 'copper gasket' on here and you'll see that we haven't all been successful with them.

Yes I forgot to write the type of engine, it is about 1.9 Mi-16 XU9J4 DFW.I need to increase the compression ratio,I want to give the car cam what I had adjusted to 286 degrees. I found that the compression ratio can be increased under the lower seal head válců.Byl I recommended compression ratio tuner 11,1-11,3:1 from us from the Czech Republic regrinds my cam. I know that the best solution is to use forged pistons but I do not have that kind of money. The engine will only race,on the engine are Jenvey throttle bodies and KMS Ecu.They're very experienced could you advise me then if I then put the cylinder head gasket stronger. What happens when a small cam on the compression ratio? Thanks for the advice.

You'll need new/different pistons then. Worry about the gasket later.

So do not mind if I ride so far with less compression ratio than is recommended on the camshaft? Will this cam work? It will not have any negative behavior that harms more? Probably will not use the full potential of cams? Thank you for your advice.
