Any Little Tricks Of The Trade So To Speak?

i just wondered if there was any little performance tricks with 205's, like opening out the throttle body, inlet manifold etc etc

 

i'm from the world of mini's and there's loads of little things you can do to help the performance, so i wondered if things could be done to a 205

not much really of that sort that'll give any decent gains at all, most are quite involved and if it has to stay 1.6 8 valve then I would look at the following;

 

fit flat topped pistons from another standard pug engine, something like the 1.9 405 SRi, possibly some other variants.

 

Throttle bodies.

 

uprated cam (how wild you go depends on the induction and Compression)

 

Aftermarket mappable management, this will give gains on a standard engine as well as a modified one.

that involves spending money and effort on it though lol, its just my everyday car the mini is the one that gets my money and its much faster than the 205 lol

 

i'll just leave the 205 as it is the maybe change the cam at some point, need to do the suspension first

The mini is coming along nicely it should have a new MOT tomorrow and I am hoping to finish designing a charge cooler for the super charger soon

 

They do look pretty good but the weather got to them over winter a bit and they are starting to get a bit of surface rust so I thought I'd try something different will paint the strips on the rear quarter to match

I'll get some pics up as soon as I get home, I'm at work at the moment on my phone. I would love 10 inch wellers on my mini but my brakes are too big lol I'm looking for 12 inch wellers

they are 14" i don't know the offset haven't paid that much attention they were on it when i got it
