Quick Dumb Question

ive taken PAS pump off, i know i need a longer alternator bracket which i think ive got - but where do i attach it to at the bottom? just one of the holes the PAS pump came out of?

 

 

 

ive searched on here, the pug parts cd and the haynes book and cant find a detailed side on view of the alternator setup on an 8v

you need a different alloy bracket for the block, as well as a different tensioner.

 

 

 

the lower bracket in that picture is the wrong way up, and the adjuster bolt isnt shown.

spot on, just needs tensioning

 

There should be a small roll pin in the top hole of the tensioning bracket where its bolted to the block, you can just see it in the picture I put up
