They look like BX 16v clocks to me, but they're obviously European ones that are in km/h rather than mph!

The oil level gauge is shared with one of the other gauges - it's either oil pressure or oil temperature (can't remember which now). Basically shows the oil level for a few seconds when you switch the ignition on, and then reverts back to the normal gauge function, although the wiring for the oil level isn't present on a 205 (and there's no sensor on the 8v engines either)

Tis oil pressure Ant, theres a serperate unit that bolts to the back of the clocks to give a read out, not entirely sure how it works but going to try and get it working for the gti-6 lump as it has the sensor.

If you found a bx diesel you could take the speedo unit out so you would have it in mph.

Cheers for the quick replies guys, I'll probably go for it then if you recon its a 16v jobby then

Vinorak was helpful and posted a link for wiring in oil level gauge, I've got it translated so its easier to understand.

Here it is if anyone wants it: Oil level wiring

Hope it comes in handy :P

Thats a good idea, do all BX's have the same style digits on the clocks then?

They certainly appear to be BX16v to me, look where the redline starts.

All the 8v BX's I've seen the redline starts at about 5.5k.

Graham.
