Painting Wheels

I've just aquired a spare set of standard alloys for my 'D' reg CTi in white and i was thinking bout painting them white whilst keeping the originals incase i want to revert back to standard. Couple of questions anyone got a pic of this already done so i can see how they'll look also other colours just incase i'm missing a better look.

 

Also is it just a case of painting them like bodywork or do i need extra protection from brake dust etc?

just like bodywork prep them and paint them

I've got a set of 5 powder coated wheels in white here; never fitted them, but they do look nice. Have a look through steve@cornwalls old topics, he had a white 205 with white whels, looked really good.
