Alarm Going Off When Disconnecting Battery

Hi, im having a bit of trouble with my alarm system, which is a Sigma system. I wanted to remove the battery to do a couple of electrical jobs but as soon as i disconnect a terminal the alarm goes off and i cant find a way to disarm it. If anyone can help that would be great.

As soon as i posted this i went outside to try something else and it worked typically. I had to arm the system then disarm it and quickly remove the cables from the battery.
