Baz

3 secs. Only if you keep it at 88mph though, and you'll need flameproof tyres.

gti-6 engine doesn't fit in a 205 thats impossible it is a 16valve engine and they are huge!

I think nick was running 13's in his, but thats not much help as his is about as far from standard as you can get.

BTW... Baz where can I get those flame proof tyres? they sound sweet! :o

As an educated guess I reckon somewhere in the 14.5-15 sec region.

Who cares how fast it goes up the drag strip. If you currently have an 8vavle engine you are a heathen and should buy a 16valve engine as soon as possible!

Obviously he is. There is no way in hell you could fit 16 valves in a 205. 16 valves are for cars like Hondas and they have Vtec which is bad as f***. BTW this isnt Mark typing, this is his parrot

The service manager at a certain Peugeot dealer told me it was impossible to fit any 16v Xu engine in a 205, otherwise Peugeot would have done it.

Did you tell him he was a moron? Did you ask him why it didn't fit? Did you ask him about the 309 gti16? Did you just laugh in his face?

Come on what was your course of action?!

The above post reminds me of when a friend of mine went away for the weekend with his girlfriend in his Mi16 205, they went in a local shop and when they came out a group of local chavs had gathered round the car, one of them said "why've you got an Mi16 badge on the back?" Before my mate could answer another chav said "That lump dont go in there!" Then another piped up "Mi16 won't go in there its too huge!" My mate assured them that it did have an Mi16 engine in at which point they started to get a bit lairy as they said he was lying. My mate just drove off at that point but maybe the chavs were right, maybe "That lump dont go in there!" :)

I'd already asked him if he was born an idiot* or had he worked on it on a previous occasion when they yet again failed to sort my 306, so he normally went and hid when I was on the premises. I did take the car to show my friend who is the parts manager and he and some of the mechanics had a look see, but he did'nt want to know because he hates being proved wrong.

*I may not have used the word idiot, I recall using another stronger term that can't be used on a public forum

Wow! A triple whammy.

'lol', 'haha' and 'lmao' all in the same sentance.

Fight it people, fight it!

An Mi16 won't fit, but an S16 will. A V6 is tiny in comparison although the 406 V8 will go in at a squeeze, although you have to ditch the 5WD system.
