question:

does anyone know what the internal diameter is inside the oil pick up?

after the gauze, disc thing, it gets smaller into a pipe. this is the dimension i am after.

its a bit of a long shot.

thanks

Aaron

Hi Aaron,I'm unaware of the ID on the pick up tube but I cant imagine that it would be any more than 1 mm at the most.Unless you have to have an exact dimension just measure the OD and subtract the difference.

But Im really interested now. What are you doing with it if you dont mind me asking.Im interested to know why somone might need that paticular dimension.

All the best

O.T.

ACE...

its still not done... <_<

getting jenvey bodies, and new bottom end regrind and polish, bearings. its practically a new engine minus the pistons and rods so im looking for some good strong numbers :o

did you blow yours up or it caught fire didnt it? or was that another car?

opticaltrigger...

im doing a project on oil surge, the mi suffering alot from it was a good engine to look into. i know its all been covered loads on the forum but im doing it to expand my knowledge of oil and its behaviour.

changing the oil pick up position is one of my point im looking into. i needed that dimension so i could state what other materials i would need in order to 'extend' the pipe from the dish pickup to the pump mechanism.

i may have to find one and cut it up myself B)

Thanks for the interest

Aaron
