its just generaly a bit dead mate -

dodgy ignition switch

smokey engine

dead rear axle

drivers side e/w motor broken

needs hand brake cables (possibly brake overhaul)

needs a tyre and tracking

but on the plus side its just had a new alternator. :)

there may be more faults but thats all i can think of atm.

Note to mods - this is NOT a for sale topic! i am only looking for advise on parts.

it still drives and its the green/blue metallic colour

Pablo - This car was previously a Cat C write off that was repaired and returned to the road. the car will be in use untill the end of march. id have to ask my dad to see what hes after for it (if he would sell it whole).

Keep the engine and stick it in a 205

When you say smokey, whats wrong with it? Blown turbo? Or has someone been messing with the fuel pump. Or really high mileage.

Not much else really you can save.

How much for the alternator :)

^ fair enough.

Was meant to be getting at worn engine components like valve stem seals etc.

The engine been looked after? Regularly serviced?

Rear trailing arms will go on a 205 beam. You say the shafts are knackered though. I think the dampers and front hubs will interchange (depending on driveshaft size) and therefore front brakes.

Expansion tank cap swaps over and may be less worn than an old 205 one (hold more pressure)

I have seen the front seats fitted in 205s before and they have a nice raise an lower function which I have never used even on a 306!!
