Sorry folks, but I've searched and Googled this.

Having trouble with the Payen gaskets that I bought. It was supposed to be a top end set and the conversion set for the bottom.

Couple of questions about the top end set

1. Should it include a water pump gasket?

2. Should it include a set of liner sealing rings?

I'm assuming it should. The kit reference is DN590

Thanks,

Brian

A top end set I would doubt very much that it would include the liner seals and definitely not the water pump, seeing as they are bottom end components...

Always wondered WTF a "conversion set" was so I can;t help with that part :D

It's currently missing, is what it is. :D

Nothing that can't be fixed - will speak with the place tomorrow. Pain in the arse though!

I can't figure why it's called a conversion set. Beats me, I ain't converting anything? I'll outline the exact contents when I get it.

A conversion set 'converts' a head set into a full gasket set. Stupid bloody name, someone on here gave me the explination yonks ago. :P

A Payen conversion set should have the waterpump and liner seals in. Well the one that I brought did any way. It had every XU gasket possible and the head set even had gaskets for carbed models. The only things that were missing were the valve stem oil seals.

Valve stem seals are in my Payen head gasket set :( havent got a conversion set yet so cant comment on the liner and WP seals.
