Electrical Issues

ok guys,

re-fitted some driving lamps yesterday, they didn't work, but i know there were a bit on abd off in the first place, now i the following has happened.

the light went bright the dim (all light i.e. dips & dash)

then once i had flicked to full beam my dips stayed on as well, and i can't get them off.

side lights & dash lights are dead.

smelt like some wires have fused.

at the moment i'm fresh out of fuses so i can't really test much but i know that my side light fuse is blowing the moment i switch them on.

i'm thinking there must be an issue with the driving lamp cables as this is the last thing fitted. the wireing diagram is making little sense to me. from what i can see the system arn't dircetly linked but do share the same earths...

i'm no electritican so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

found my pronlem, the enitre driving lamp circur over to the driver side of the car melted. my most fo the wire ad recoverable with a few that need cutting and a bit of wire adding in. my mechanic reckons that the fuse may have melted together rather than blow.

cheers for the help!
